Baked Onion Rings
Onion rings are delicious but so unhealthy when fried. Curb your cravings for the greasy version buy cooking a batch of this recipe in the oven. You won't miss the fried version at all.

1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
2. Use a food processor to grind cereal into small crumbs.
3. Pour crumbs into a bowl and add salt. Stir well with a fork to combine.
4. In a separate bowl, add the egg substitute. Set aside.
5. Remove the outer layer of the onions and cut the ends off..
6. Cut onions into slices approximately 10 mm to 15 mm wide and separate into rings.
7. Dip each ring into egg substitute and then directly into bran crumbs.
8. Once each ring is thoroughly coated, place in an even layer onto baking dishes sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
9. Bake for 12 minutes, flip each onion ring onto its other side, and bake for another 12 minutes.
10. Remove from oven and serve warm.

Optional: Serve with ketchup as a dipping sauce
