Banana Split Muffins

The popular banana split sundae takes on a new meaning when transformed into muffins. Serve for breakfast or a snack and kids will go bananas over them.

1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C.
2. Combine sugar, flour, chocolate chips, nuts, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, mash bananas and stir in mayonnaise to combine.
4. Add mayonnaise and banana mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients, stirring until moistened.
5. Fill a 12 muffin, greased, muffin tin 3/4 of the way full with the mixture.
6. Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick placed into a muffin comes out clean.
7. Place a cherry half firmly on top of each muffin.
8. Cool for 10 minutes before removing muffins.

Serve warm, after slightly cooled or serve completely cooled.
